JJ and I went out yesterday and scouted out some areas trying to find a new camp spot that would allow us to still ride the same area but not have to deal with the locals riding through and around camp. We tried to find something off the 10 but only found one spot worthy of a group bigger than a couple and access to that area wasnt the best. We did however find a pretty cool area to camp and ride just past the summit. The cords are 33*36.199N by 115*31.962W Its an easy in and out down a 6 mile dirt road. The road is not soft or whooped out. There are some washboard areas though. To get there you take the 10 east toward Blythe about 40 miles past the 86, 2 exits past the Chiriaco Summit is Red Cloud road, exit there and make a right (that will take you back to the 10 West) once you get to the end it turns right to go under the freeway, there you turn left on a dirt road named Summit road. take that out about 3 miles to a Y in the road take the road to the right (Still Summit Road) follow the RR tracks about another 3 miles where it crosses the RR tracks. we will be camped near that area in the clearing closer to the hills. Its a limited use area but as long as we stay on the trails we will be good. Shooting is allowed so bring guns if ya want and something to shoot at. From there we could ride all the way to Slab City or Salvation MTN, We could also take Bradshaw trail towards the Colorado River or East to North Shore. Also Chiriaco Summit is an easy ride as well. The destinations are limitless from here and I believe JWS is going to get some points of interest for us South of where we will be. JJ took some pics of the area and markers for you to see, Hopefully he will post them soon.
So far its JWS Socal Campermama SS Duane Toolio? Cori and Steve??? Howie - possibility Santa Cruz Mafia - possibility Any one else? Should be a good time.

For some reason Google Earth and our GPS cords dont match. I noticed this on sat when I was out there looking for something I saw on Google Earth.
So the Google Earth cords for the new camp spot are 33* 36' 12.56" by 115* 31' 57.89"
