EDWIN (entry door window) by Atwood

Not much can be said for the stock door window that comes standard on almost all recreational vehicles. It's certinly something I've ever given much thought, except after washing the rig and seeing some water made it inside. That coupled with the fact the white trim ring seems really good at turning yellow after a few years exposure to the elements. About the only thing it does is let a little light in and that's about it.

While sufing the web I came across a picture somebody had posted showing the difference between the new Edwin replacement window and the old stock unit. I knew immediately, I had to have one :vik:

Installation was very easy. The window fit without any modfications and had a nice weather seal. It is an aluminum framed powercoated bottom slide window that matched the other windows on the rig perfectly.

I went camping the weekend after I recieved the window. It was great to be able to see who was knocking on the door later at night. With the bottom of the window slid up you could feel a nice breeze where there was none before.
I got out of bed one night and really liked being able to see, at a glance, the toys locked up outside with nothing moving around them. Before I had to fumble with blinds and bend over the folding seats to see outside.

A few people have asked if people can see in at night. The answer is yes, but so far I dont have an issue with that. It is like any other window in the rig, a small set of mini blinds or cloth curtain and your all set. I have some mirrored window tint I may try but dont want it to get too dark to see outside easily at night? we'll see how that pans out and get back to ya! I'm pretty happy the way it is right now.

A beautiful fix for the problem I didnt know I had !

Probably want to put something about putting weather seal a 1/16 to an 1/8 of an inch in from the outside edge so it doesnt show when the window compresses

Very cool. This is what I've been looking for. :boob:
The web site says that it has privacy glass. http://easyrvwindows.com/rv-entry-door.html
I guess from what you posted it doesn't work for privacy when you have a light on inside.
Gonna have to upgrade. Where did you buy?

Nothing will at night, mirro-pane helps..It's what we use in jails, one way mirror.
