We got our new car and brought it out to Spangler on Saturday.

The plan is for Wendy to run it in the PowderPuff race this year. It still needs a few things to make it race legal, but it's pretty close already. The chassis is built to SCORE specs with .120 4130. Suspension has 20" travel in the front and 18" in the rear. And I have to say, i was surprised with how well it handled the whoops.

Anyhow, here's a few pics.

you mean the soccer mom-mobile with Sat Radio, and A/C that made it the entire ride? Unlike a certain quad?

Apparently from what I have found there is a nut that keeps everything snug and inline and if it comes loose things get out of whack and start eating itself.

JJ
06-01-2009, 05:19 AM
Eric, your new car looks great!
I'll make a deal with you. You get a louder horn and I'll get a rear view mirror.
That way Wendy won't have to resort to bumping :eek: to get me out of her way.

diirk
06-01-2009, 01:35 PM
Sounds like a good deal.
For a mirror, you might check out the Longacre Racing Mirror. It's pretty nice. And relatively cheap.

Nice ride guys!

It fits in the hauler?

diirk
06-01-2009, 03:38 PM
It should. We haven't tried it yet. We hauled it to Spangler in PUD's trailer, and we practically had to lube it to get it in there. the toyhauler is definately wide though. Looking for a flatbed to use for future daytrips.

IC. Get rid of the hauler and get a new setup with a stcker. While your at it pick one up for me too.

I also need a flatbed. Keep me in mind when your looking.

cool, wonder what it would need to be street legal, thinking some sort of fenders/deflectors. What to go something like that but street legal when I get back home.

From their website-

The X-18 can be made street legal in most states except California.

Wonder if its a smog thing too? But legal in Az, hmmmmmm.

diirk
06-03-2009, 01:40 PM
It's not a smog thing. Mine actually has a Cat.
You can probably get it legal in Cali too, but it'll be a grey area.
Definately legal in Az though.

Nice car. I'll bet Wendy smokes everyone in that thing. She's kinda crazy like that.

06-03-2009, 06:46 PM
Yeah, we went on a group ride. Wendy was towards the back. Aaronand I were in the FJ so went a different way. We stopped to wait and Wendy was the first to arrive. No exactly a surprise.

I guess on a ride when Aaron was passenger, she had him crying like a little girl too....he was afraid they were going to die a horrible death. Wendy thinks it's funny....

4'sq = $4.00?

4'sq = $4.00?

4'x4'x12"x$10=$1920...

although, based on your math, I'll give you $4, you give me $1500, and you'll end up making $420... I'll take that offer please.
